Welcoming James Mitchell to Vector Talent

We're pleased to announce that James Mitchell has joined Vector as a Talent Partner, bringing with him several years of hands-on recruitment experience across the pharma services sector.

Prior to joining Vector, James built his career working end-to-end on hiring mandates across pharma services, covering everything from laboratory and technical roles through to commercial, operational, and senior leadership positions. He's worked across functions including quality, regulatory affairs, clinical operations, and manufacturing, giving him a well-rounded view of the talent landscape across the sector. That experience of placing candidates at every level, in roles that carry real responsibility, shapes how he approaches every search.

He's partnered with some of the sector's most recognised organisations throughout his career, and that exposure to complex, high-stakes hiring has given him a strong understanding of what separates a good hire from a great one. It's also given him an equally clear picture of the cost when a hire doesn't land.

At Vector, James focuses specifically on clinical supply, packaging, and drug delivery. It's a specialism that's historically been under-served from a recruitment perspective, and that's a big part of what attracted him to it.

As James put it when he announced his move: "Packaging and clinical supply aren't backroom functions. They sit at the crossroads of quality, operations and getting product to patients safely and on time, and getting the wrong hire in that space has real consequences."
